| PEPP to Revoke Membership in Sam's Club | |

At the
January 7th
Board meeting at PEPP, the PEPP Board moved to revoke PEPP's membership
in Sam's Club. There was great discussion on Sam's
Club/Wal-Mart's unsavory and exploitive practices of union busting,
employee oppression, exploitation of poor workers and bully business
practices. The Board does not want PEPP to spend it's money at
Wal-Mart.
The Board asked the PEPP Director to revoke PEPP's Membership and then write a letter to Wal-Mart to state PEPP's reason for revoking membership in Sam's Club. The Board will reevaluate this decision once Wal-Mart makes and effort to be employee friendly and changes their practices. PEPP is not alone in doing tangible actions that are leading to making Wal-Mart notice. See: WalmartWatch.com We are Planning an event at NDSU
in March. We plan on watching "Walmart, the high cost of living"
followed by a strategy session and discussion. Watch for an

| PEPP to Hold Membership Events | |

PEPP will be
structuring monthly and quarterly events in an effort to build it's
membership base. The Board formed a committee to design future
events that will engage members in exciting and worthwhile events.
Some ideas may include training
sessions, receptions, discussions, films and conversations, issue
briefs and much more. Ideas will be explored and will be posted
on this Webste and will be advertised to PEPP Members. Watch for the Walmart thing....
